Access to safe and nutritious food has always been of vital importance to consumers all over the world.

The regulations governing all FCMs ensure the absence of hazardous contaminants that could compromise the food’s sensory qualities, with the aim of providing consumers with safe food (Reg. (EC) No.1935/2004, Reg. (EU) No. 10/2011, Italian Ministerial Decree of 21/03/1973).

The laws governing FCMs are Regulation (EC) 2023/2006 and Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 as well as the Italian Ministerial Decree of 21/03/73  for paper, steel, aluminium, rubber, silicone, glass, chrome-plated tin, tin plate,  Regulation (EU) 10/2011 for plastic materials,  Directive 2007/42/EC for regenerated cellulose, and Directive 2005/31/EC for ceramic and Legislative Decree 29 of 10/02/2017 governing sanctions.
